On behalf of the Vice Chancellor, Management and Faculty members, I Dr Fidelis U. Amahi Dean of the Faculty welcome you to the Faculty of Management and Social Sciences of the University of Delta, Agbor which is dedicated to achieving societal and individual focused studies geared towards meeting the vision of the faculty and by extension the University by producing quality graduates with indepth knowledge of their disciplines character and integrity and with a mission to be the best faculty in the university and among the best Faculties of Management and Social Sciences in Nigerian Universities in terms of training resourceful graduates that will proffer solutions to the myriads of problems in Nigeria and the entire globe through the eight Departments comprising:

3. Economics.
4. Entrepreneurship
5. Mass Communication
. 6. Political Science and Public Administration
7. Psychology
8. Sociology and Criminology
The Faculty, through the above mentioned Departments, offers courses leading to the award of the following Bachelor of Science Degrees in

The Faculty which is located in a serene, safe and hospitable people oriented environment also conducts researches, organizes conferences, seminars and workshops.
THE PHILOSOPHY OF THE FACULTY
The world is saddled with myriad of complex problems that cuts across all spheres of life which requires graduates of high competence with knowledge based prowess to provide solutions to identified problems. Nigeria and Africa needs graduates who can adopt knowledge driven techniques to address our overwhelming security, economic, social and political problems. The Faculty of Management and Social Sciences is poised to train and produce graduates in the fields of Management, Administration, Socio Cultural, Financial, Economy and Political Science, who will close the above gap by contributing meaningfully to the growth and development of Nigeria, Africa and the world.
OBJECTIVES
To realize the above vision and mission, the following will be our
objectives:
i. to develop in the students the abilities and capacities to identify the related problems to management and social issues and proffer solutions to them.
ii. to train students to develop leadership skills, required in various work places.
iii. to nurture students intellectual curiosity through academic excellence
iv. to promote graduates dedication to contribute to national and global matters.
v. to train students to develop critical judgments that will enhance their understanding and contributions to national and global affairs.
vi. to produce competent personnel for the numerous needs in the public and private establishments as well as national and international work places
vii. to provide good and solid background for graduates who may have interest to go for higher studies in the disciplines of Management and Social Sciences.
